Monaghan Collegiate (pictured) defeated St. Macartans College in the Monaghan Schools' Cup U16 Final.
It was a very enjoyable game played in good spirit at Monaghan RFC. On the day the Collegiate proved too strong for the holders St. Macartans and came out worthy winners.
Hopefully the new players that took up the game will continue to play it when the season begins in September at Monaghan RFC.
Youth Development Officer Davy McGregor would like to thank all the schools for their support throughout the season and to Cyril Smyth of Monaghan Credit Union who sponsored the cup and also to Monaghan RFC for the use of the facilities.
