Over 60 P7 players took part in a recent community rugby blitz on Blackmountain 3G pitch in a bid to establish a community club in the area.
Local schools Springfield PS, Black Mountain PS and Springhill PS attended along with Oakwood Integrated PS from Derriaghy.
Blackmountain Action Group will continue with the running of the club, assisted by Ulster Rugby’s Community Rugby Coach, Roy Lawton.
This has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the 'Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
