Saturday 23rd July saw the Ulster U18 girls 7's team travel down to Tullamore RFC for the second part of three 7's competitions.
The Ulster team began the day against Munster, with whom they played out a draw last weekend. This week however was a different story as the Ulster girls set down an early marker and ran out 39-0 winners with a very skilful performance.
Next up was Leinster. In what was always going to be a tough encounter and an entertaining spectacle, a number of try saving tackles ensured the game finished in a 12-12 draw.
In the final game of the day Ulster came up against Connacht where both teams played some flowing rugby, but Ulster recorded a 35-5 victory.
Undefeated in the three games, the Ulster girls will take great confidence as they head into the third and final tournament in two weeks time.
A huge thanks must go to the two Ulster team coaches Aly and Terry Finlay, who are now reaping the rewards from all their efforts coaching the girls over the past number of months.
