Cooke Women Require Head Or Assistant Coach For 15/16 Season

Cooke Women’s rugby team invites applications for the position of head or assistant coach to help build on the success of the 2014/2015 season in which they won the All Ireland League Division 2 title and the Rosie Stewart Ulster Cup. The club will be competing in AIL Division 1 for the upcoming season.

To date Cooke is the only women’s team in Ulster to have played in AIL Division 1 and after a two year break, they are ready to compete at the highest level in Ireland once again. The squad boasts Irish international and Ulster representative players as well as a large cohort of players new to the game.

Cooke RFC is seeking a coach with energy, enthusiasm and excellent coaching skills, who can deliver high quality training sessions and effectively manage the requirements of an AIL Division 1 team.

The applicant must be a minimum IRFU accredited level 1 (or equivalent) and have experience of planning and delivering sessions in a high performance environment with a player centred / game related approach to coaching and developing players. Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Also required is an ability to analyse technical and tactical aspects of the game and possess a level of knowledge that allows the players to achieve their potential.

The deadline for applications is Friday 29th May 2015, with interviews taking place in June / early July.

To apply, please email your CV to cookewomenrfc@gmail.com. Any queries on the coaching roles and responsibilities should be forwarded to this email address also.
