Ulster Rugby Community Rugby Coach for East Belfast, Neill Alcorn, has been delivering sessions to children in the Cregagh community over the past few weeks.
Kids at Cregagh Youth Club had said that there was not a lot on during Sunday afternoons so Alcorn and the Cregagh Community team put together a Sunday Rugby Club from 5-6pm each week.
The boys, aged 13-15, are playing rugby for the first time and have shown improvements in a short pace of time. The progress has led to many considering joining a local club.
This programme has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
