Danske Bank Ulster Schools' Cup Final 2024: Match Preview

Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Ballymena Academy will meet in the showpiece finale of the schools' rugby calendar at Kingspan Stadium on Monday 18 March (kick-off 3.00pm).

RBAI will be going into our final clash hoping to obtain a second consecutive title win, after having defeated Wallace in a gripping semi-final here at Kingspan Stadium, 33-20. They secured the first place in the upcoming final after a stellar attacking style, with stand out performances from hat-trick try scorer, Joshua Gibson and winger, Alex Place.

Ballymena Academy secured their spot to battle it out with our defending champions after a convincing win against Sullivan Academy in our second semi-final here at Kingspan Stadium. With excellent performances in both attacking and defending, Ballymena have proved this final will be gripping. With strong players such as Charlie Hargy and Callum Mustoe, Ballymena Academy highlighted they are a force to be reckoned with.

The atmosphere for a Schools’ Cup final is electric and an occasion where the whole school community can come together. The boys have an outstanding attitude and have worked incredibly hard throughout the season, and for that we are extremely proud of them."
