Royal School Armagh will be hoping to hold onto the Shield for the third year in a row, having beaten Down High School in the final last year, 43-19. Campbell College made it to the final in 2020, but due to Covid, shared the trophy with Bangor Grammar School. The last time they played in a Subsidiary Shield final was in 2013, when they defeated BRA to take the title.
