Dromore Hs Win Pollock Cup

Dromore High School lifted the first trophy of the 2014-15 High Schools season at the Pollock Cup Finals at Ballymena RFC.

23 schools entered at the regional qualifiers at Letterkenny, Omagh, Ballymoney and Ballynahinch with the top eight winning through to the Ballymena finals last week.

Dromore took the trophy beating Ballyclare Secondary School 22-0 in the final. There was notable performances from Craigavon Senior HS and Ballymoney HS. Monaghan Collegiate/St. Macartan’s and Carndonagh CS had decent run outs also.

High Schools Secretary Damien Campbell thanked Ballymena RFC for hosting the finals, St. John’s Ambulance and John Adams and the Community Rugby staff for helping to referee the event.
