EPCR has today confirmed that the 2020/21 Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup are temporarily suspended.
Of the news, EPCR said:
"Following a directive from the French authorities that the participation of TOP14 clubs in the Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup at the current time constitutes too great a public health risk, EPCR has no choice but to announce today (Monday 11 January) that the 2020/21 tournaments are temporarily suspended."
As a result, Ulster Rugby's upcoming pool stage games against Gloucester Rugby and Toulouse Rugby - scheduled for Saturday 16 January and Sunday 24 January respectively - are now postponed.
