A women's development blitz and a girls youth blitz were hosted on Sunday by Coleraine RFC and Ballymoney RFC respectively.
Coleraine Blitz
Coleraine RFC hosted a women’s development blitz yesterday. Teams from UUC and Malone travelled to Coleraine and played full contact matches. Malone won the event on points and Tara Breslin from UUC was voted as Player of the Tournament.
Ballymoney Blitz
Youth teams from as far away as Virginia and Armagh as well as Ballyclare, Bangor, Malone and Belfast Harlequins made the journey to Ballymoney. It is great to have so many young female players running out onto the pitch to gain experience of the game.
These blitzes give the players and coaches the chance to participate and see how they are progressing without the pressure of results.
