The event proved to be a resounding success, raising an extraordinary £13,106. This achievement is testament to the generosity, community spirit, and passion of Ulster Rugby supporters.
The funds raised will play a vital role in advancing the Foundation's mission of promoting health and well-being through grassroots rugby. Since its establishment in 2023, the Ulster Rugby Foundation has been committed to using the power of sport and the core values of rugby to enhance confidence, self-esteem, and social and emotional well-being across three priority areas: young people, women and girls, and disability rugby.
David Johnston, Head of the Ulster Rugby Foundation, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. He said:<br>
"I am immensely grateful for the generosity displayed during our first Foundation Day. I’d like to thank everyone who supported us – our dedicated staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly on the night, everyone at the Club who ensured the event ran smoothly, and, of course, all those who donated, bought raffle tickets, or placed bids in our online auction."
The success of Foundation Day was made possible by the invaluable support of PizzaExpress, this year’s Foundation Day Headline Partner. Their partnership was instrumental in ensuring the event was both memorable and impactful.
