Over 60 players and coaches from Ballymoney's male and
female youth section took part in a workshop designed to combine rugby specific
skills with fitness elements. Ulster Rugby's fitness development officer Joe
Gallanagh assisted by CRO Shaun Bloomfield ran through a programme of games and
activities for the players and coaches. Following the session coaches had an
opportunity to ask questions and get a few more ideas on how to integrate
fitness with coaching rugby specific skills.
This project has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport’ programme.
