Ulster's South African lock, Franco van der Merwe, believes the Springboks will bounce back from their defeat to Japan when they play Samoa on Saturday. He also thinks Ireland will have a good World Cup and that Ulster will put in a big performance against Benetton Treviso next Friday night at Kingspan Stadium. Speaking to URTV he said: "Ireland really did well against Canada. They looked steady. A lot of the teams maybe looked edgy. However, for me, Ireland really looked strong. The were in control and I think that they are going to have a good World Cup this year. "We were really disappointed coming back from Scarlets with absolutely nothing. We wanted at least to come back with one point. We have done our analysis. We have to bounce back with a home match and we have to play well. "This is why we are in the game, to play winning rugby.
