Female pupils at Integrated College Dungannon have enjoyed rugby for the first time, after the school asked Ulster Rugby staff to deliver a coaching programme.

Female Rugby Officer, Zoe Templeton, is currently providing taster sessions to Year 8 and Year 11 girls within the PE timetable. As a result of this coaching, the school will enter the Girls Schools' Cup, which starts next month.

It is hoped that the uptake in participation at the Integrated College will have a positive impact on the newly formed U15 Female Section at Dungannon Rugby Club. Training will resume at Stevenson Park on Monday 10th February (6.30-8.00pm).

The coaching assistance from Ulster Rugby has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the 'Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
