'Give It A Go' Event at Cooke Women RFC

Cooke RFC Women are inviting new players to attend a 'Give It a Go' Open Session at Shaw's Bridge Sports Association on Thursday 21st July from 6.30pm.

The session will include fun rugby games, introduction to rugby skills and some fitness and will end with a picnic on the pitch for the new players to meet and chat to the senior team about potentially playing at Cooke RFC.

Head Coach Grace Davitt said, "Following on from a successful season in 2015/2016, we are delighted to hold an open session and invite players of any experience levels to give rugby a try at Cooke RFC Women. Even if you have never played a team sport, you are more than welcome to come down and give it a go. We are hoping to increase numbers in our squad with a view to setting up 1st and 2nd XV teams and increase the participation in women's rugby in Belfast. With the Women's World Cup Final being held at Kingspan Stadium in Summer 2017, there has never been a better time to get involved in local rugby and give it a go!"

All women aged 18 and over are welcome to attend, no experience necessary. Players are advised to bring water, sports trainers or football/rugby boots and be up for trying something new as well as meeting new friends.
