Give It A Try

Ulster Rugby has invited young players in the East of the province to take part in one of our Give It A Try sessions over the half-term break. Events are being staged at 10 different clubs on Tuesday the 26th and Wednesday the 27th of October. These are open to current club players, as well as high school players of any experience. Ulster Rugby Development staff will oversee and facilitate training sessions and limited-contact games for male and female players at Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 level. Ulster’s Regional Rugby Lead in the East, Chris Galway, said: “Our ‘Give It A Try’ programme is a great way for players of any experience to get involved with the game. From teaching the basics to new players, to more structured coaching for those with experience, there’s a lot on offer for both boys and girls. It’s about creating a welcoming and fun environment, and we see this a key factor in driving our club’s participation and membership.”
