'go Green' To Support 'hinch In Ubl Div 1a Play-off

Ballynahinch RFC are hoping to see a huge local turnout of support ‘going Green’ to help them during the forthcoming Ulster Bank League Division 1A play-off against Div 1B runners-up Buccaneers RFC on Saturday 3rd May 2014 (kick-off 2.30pm).

The Ballynahinch side have had an excellent season so far, having secured the Ulster Senior League and finishing as runners-up in the Senior Cup and also as the only Ulster representative in top flight of rugby in Ireland, particularly enjoying a rich vein of form in their last few AIL matches

The match day will start with the pre-match lunch for over 150 people at 1pm. There will also be catering and bar facilities available outside the Clubhouse and a large crowd of supporters are expected to attend on the day, reinforced by the Ballynahinch Mini section armed with Vuvuzelas to ensure maximum support for the County Down side.

Club President Ian Dornan said, ”I am really looking forward to our All Ireland play-off as a there has been a huge amount of hard work put in by the players, the Coaching Staff and the Club Council over this Division 1A season and we are determined to retain our position in that league as the sole Ulster representatives.”

The Club President went on to say, “we have a great deal of pressure on us to ensure that we best represent ourselves and Ulster club rugby.  With the squad of players and coaches that we have, we are in an excellent position to make sure that we retain our place in this prestigious level of rugby.”

Ian continued, “we expect a large crowd of supporters on the day and the gate will be open from 1pm for those already planning to attend, but would love to see as much support wearing green from the Ballynahinch, County Down and wider Ulster community cheering us on.”

Gates open from 1pm for those not attending the pre-match lunch and entry fees are £5 for Club members and £8 for non-members. The match kicks-off at 2.30pm.
