Grants Officers from clubs across the province met at Kingspan Stadium to talk about funding opportunities and best practice ahead of the Ulster versus Wasps pre-season friendly.
Grant Officers representing 20 different Clubs came together to discuss funding opportunities and to share best practice with regard to accessing grant aid, before watching Ulster take on Wasps.
Janine Cobain, Loans Manager at the Carbon Trust, also attended to provide clubs with more information on their 0% loan scheme which is designed to assist groups in improving their energy efficiency. Those attending were also given an update on plans for the coming season around other areas of club support.
Davy Workman (Ballynahinch RFC) commented:
"These events are a great opportunity for clubs to share ideas and successes stories. The Carbon Trust Loan Scheme is particularly interesting, and it's something we will be looking into for our club as any energy savings would free up income to invest in other areas."
