Ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Ulster mascot Sparky, alongside club participants, will take part in a joint challenge to walk the distance from Kingspan Stadium, Belfast, to the Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Japan, which is 5,880 miles, or approximately 12 million steps.Â
The 'Walk to the Rugby World Cup' programme is funded by the Public Health Agency and is in line with Ulster Rugby’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy ‘Rugby at the Heart of the Community’.

To prepare for his walking challenge, Sparky will be carrying a pedometer during upcoming Ulster games at Kingspan Stadium.
To be in with a chance of winning 2 tickets to the Ulster v Glasgow game on Friday 2nd March, all you have to do is tell us how many steps Sparky will walk during the Ulster v Edinburgh match this Friday night!
Sparky's pedometer will be running from 6.30pm until shortly after the end of the game (approx. 9.30pm).
