EPCR has announced the dates and kick-off times for five of Ulster’s Heineken Champions Cup fixtures this season.
The Rugby World Cup has delayed the start of the competition by a month and so Ulster will begin its European adventure with a mouth-watering clash away to Bath Rugby on Saturday 16th November (kick-off 1.00pm), in what will be the first competitive meeting between the two teams in a decade.
The first home game of the new European campaign will see French giants ASM Clermont Auvergne visit Kingspan Stadium on Friday 22nd November (7.45pm). That fixture will bring back fond memories for supporters who witnessed Ulster’s pulsating 39-32 pool stage win in December 2016.
Dan McFarland’s men face Harlequins in successive weekends in December, having enjoyed back-to-back wins against the London-based side at a similar stage two years ago.
Details of Ulster’s return trip to Clermont are still to be confirmed and discussions are ongoing between EPCR and its broadcast partners.
Ulster will conclude the pool stages with a home tie against Bath Rugby on Saturday 18th January 2020.
