Ulster Rugby will kick-off their 2022/23 Heineken Champions Cup campaign with a trip to face Sale Sharks at AJ Bell Stadium on the weekend of 9 – 11 December.

The following weekend, Kingspan Stadium will host another legendary European encounter when reigning champions, La Rochelle, visit Belfast on 16 – 18 December.

The return leg against Ronan O’Gara’s men comes in Round 3 which takes place on the weekend of 13 – 15 January at Stade Marcel Deflandre.

The Pool stages are then rounded-off at home, when Sale Sharks come to Kingspan Stadium on 20 – 22 January.

A 2022/23 Season Ticket is the only way to secure your place at both eagerly anticipated Champions Cup home fixtures against Sale Sharks and La Rochelle, plus the Bank of Ireland Pre-Season Friendly versus Exeter Chiefs and every regular season game in the United Rugby Championship.

Heineken Champions Cup 2022/23 Format
  • 24 elite clubs (nine tournament winners with 36 EPCR titles between them)
  • Two pools of 12
  • Four pool stage rounds
  • Eight highest-ranked clubs from each pool qualify for the knockout stage
  • Knockout stage: Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final
  • Ninth and 10th ranked clubs from each pool qualify for the EPCR Challenge Cup

This year, the competition is set to serve up a host of mouth-watering match-ups, which includes the landmark participation of South African clubs.
