Henderson Named To Start For Wolfhounds

The Irish Wolfhounds squad has been named to face England Saxons at Irish Independent Park, Cork this Friday, kick off 19.45.

Ulster second row, Iain Henderson is the only Ulster man named in the starting line up following his return from injury last weekend against Leicester Tigers. Rob Herring, Robbie Diack and Craig Gilroy are named as replacements.

Fullback Felix Jones has been named as captain and the only uncapped player in the starting XV is Jack Conan who lines out at No.8 - he is joined in the backrow by Sean O'Brien and Dominic Ryan. Henderson features alongside Mike McCarthy while the front-row consists of Mike Ross, Richardt Strauss and Jack McGrath.

Kieran Marmion will combine with Ian Madigan at half-back with Gordon D'Arcy and Keith Earls forming the centre partnership. Jones is joined in the back three by Fergus McFadden and Luke Fitzgerald.

Front-row replacements for Friday's fixture include Herring, Michael Bent and Nathan White. Diack and Eoin McKeon provide back five cover with Isaac Boss, Noel Reid and Gilroy covering the outfield.
