Ulster outhalf, Ian Humphreys, has trained with NFL side the Jacksonville Jaguars and exchanged kicking advice with their field goal specialist Josh Scobee.

The Jaguars are in the UK ahead of their match with the Dallas Cowboys at Wembley Stadium.

Humphreys was invited to training by the Jaguars who are keen to promote the NFL in the UK.

The session was also filmed for a feature that will be shown by BBC Sport NI as part of their coverage of the Guinness PRO12 match between Ulster and Ospreys on 21st November.

Ian Humphreys was delighted to have been part of the session:

“They were really welcoming and they were all good guys, but that is just the nature of sport,” said Ian. “It felt a little bit strange to be standing there listening to the Head Coach giving his speech for Sunday but it was really cool.”

Josh Scobee said that it was great to have Ian at the practice session and that he was impressed with his kicking skills:

Josh said: “The similarities between he and I are there and you can tell that he has a lot of power. I just hope that our scouts weren’t watching too much because it was pretty impressive!”
