Ireland team named for final Test of Summer Tour

Ulster's new signing John Cooney is in line to make his international debut after the scrumhalf was named among the replacements for Ireland fixture versus Japan at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on Saturday.

It will also be a big day for Kieran Treadwell who is included in the starting XV for the first time following an impressive performance off the bench in the first Test last week.

Ulster backs Paddy Jackson, Luke Marshall and Jacob Stockdale will all start, while Sean Reidy is also in the 23 man panel.

Captain Rhys Ruddock lines out on the blindside flank and is joined in the backrow by Jack Conan at No.8 and Josh van der Flier at openside. Devin Toner is paired with Treadwell in the second row while James Tracy comes in at hooker in a front row that also contains Cian Healy and John Ryan.

Kieran Marmion returns to his more accustomed role at scrumhalf to partner Jackson at flyhalf. Marshall comes back in having started against the USA to play alongside Garry Ringrose in midfield. Andrew Conway switches to fullback with Keith Earls and Stockdale named on the wings.

Cooney and Reidy are joined on the bench by Niall Scannell, Dave Kilcoyne, Andrew Porter, James Ryan, Sean Reidy, Rory Scannell and Tiernan O'Halloran.

The match kicks off at 14:40 local time (06:40 Irish time).
