Ireland U19 team named for first French challenge

The Ireland Under-19 side, sponsored by PwC, for their opening game against their French counterparts in Bordeaux this evening (6.30pm local time) has been confirmed.

The squad features six Ulster based players in the starting XV, with a further three among the replacements.
 
Sean Masterson will captain the side from Number 8, with flankers Aaron Hall and Jack Cooke completing the back-row.
 
Matt Dalton and Jack Dunne are named in the second-row, with front rowers James French, Diarmuid Barron and Tom O'Toole completing the scrum.
 
In the backs, Hugh O'Sullivan starts at scrum-half, with Angus Curtis at number 10.
 
David McCarthy and James Hume form the centre partnership and Mark Keane and Peter Sullivan line out on the wings and Michael Silvester is at full-back.
 
The team is coached by head coach Kieran Campbell and assistants Hugh Hogan and Ambrose Conboy, and are managed by Barney McGonigle.
 
This evening's game in the Stade Jules Ladoumègue in Lormont is the first of two matches between the sides, with the second fixture set for this Sunday in Stade Robert Brettes, Merignac, Bordeaux.
