Irfu Charitable Trust Day For Clubs

For the past number of years, the Ulster Branch have designated one Saturday in the season as 'IRFU Charitable Trust Day' and encouraged clubs to arrange some form of fundraising activity on that day on behalf of the Charitable Trust.

These days have been very well supported by Clubs and I know that the Charitable Trust is extremely grateful for your support.

In addition to providing essential funding for this very worthwhile cause, these Charitable Trust Days also increase awareness of the work carried out by the Trust.

This year, the Charitable Trust has requested two Saturdays to ensure that clubs can arrange activities or functions on days when their 1st XVs are at home.

The days designated as Charitable Trust Days 2014 are:
SATURDAY 4TH OCTOBER 2014
or
SATURDAY 11th OCTOBER 2014

It is hoped that your Club will be able to participate in some form of fund raising on these dates (or an alternative date more suitable for your Club). The Charitable Trust has secured the services of a number of former internationals who would be willing to donate their time to help clubs fund raise at lunches or events. Any club interested in using these former players should contact Keith Crossan (07825518751) or John Wilson (07789208812) and they will attempt to provide someone.

The Trust would also be very grateful if clubs continue to encourage members and guests to sign up and become a 'Friend of the Charitable Trust'. Information on the activities of the Charitable Trust and application forms can be found on the Charitable Trust website.

Funds raised can be either paid online, via the Charitable Trust website, or by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to IRFU Charitable Trust and forwarded to Keith Crossan, C/O IRFU (Ulster Branch), 85 Ravenhill Park, Belfast, BT6 ODG.
