Irfu (ulster Branch) Receives Awards For All Grant

IRFU (Ulster Branch) is pleased to announce that the Big Lottery Fund, through its Awards for All Northern Ireland programme, has awarded £8,132 towards a Capacity Building Programme that will be delivered by the Branch over the coming year.

The grant will be used for training to support the development of volunteering throughout rugby clubs and will include, amongst others, disability awareness training, creating volunteer champions and safeguarding children and young people in sport.

Chris Webster, IRFU (Ulster Branch) Domestic Rugby Manager, said: "We are delighted that the Big Lottery Fund has provided essential monetary support for the delivery of this capacity building programme which will play a vital role in supporting the development of volunteers within rugby clubs throughout Northern Ireland. As a Branch, we are committed to the growth and sustainability of rugby clubs and associated volunteers and we are confident that this project will support the continued development of these activities."
