Limavady kids make short trip to Centra Summer Camp

A group of Limavady youngsters had a memorable time this week after attending the Centra Ulster Rugby Summer Camp at Foyle College.

Eight kids were transported to the Derry-Londonderry venue in an Ulster Rugby mini-bus driven by volunteer Kenny Bloomfield. The camp allowed them to develop their rugby skills and meet new friends in a fun and safe environment. They also got the chance to meet Ulster’s Director of Rugby David Humphreys and players Paddy McAllister and Ricky Lutton.

Many of the children had been receiving coaching sessions from Community Rugby Coach Peter McCartney, who encouraged them to attend the Summer Camp.

This venture was made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, who have provided funding for staff and mini-buses through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport’ Programme.
