Four Primary Schools attended a Tag Rugby Blitz at Lisburn RFC last Wednesday (16th October).

Lisburn schools St. Aloysius, Old Warren and Tonagh were joined by St. Luke's (Twinbrook) and the majority of the 60 participants had never played rugby until six weeks ago.

The event was organised by Ulster Rugby's Community Rugby Coach, Roy Lawton, who was supported on the day by fellow Ulster Rugby staff members Neill Alcorn and Alasdair McKee.

Lisburn RFC's Mini Rugby Coordinator, Charles Beaumont, was also on hand to meet and greet everyone and hand out leaflets to help encourage players to join the club.

This event was made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the 'Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
