It's down to the final eight of the BKT United Rugby Championship, with Ulster hosting Connacht at Kingspan Stadium in the first of the quarter-finals.

Tickets

The further easing of Covid-19 restrictions in Northern Ireland has meant that Kingspan Stadium will now operate at its full available capacity for this fixture, and it is set to be the largest crowd at the home of Ulster Rugby in more than two years.

A very limited number of tickets are still available via the link below.

Match tickets purchased for the original fixture date of 1 January 2022 remain valid for this rescheduled game.

Watch England v Ireland before Ulster v Leinster

Prior to the big interprovincial derby, we are pleased to confirm that we will be screening England versus Ireland in the Guinness Six Nations, which kicks off at 4.45pm. Gates will open at 4pm and the match will be shown on all screens within the public bars, A&L Goodbody Premium Lounge and the two big screens in the stadium bowl.

Did you know?

  • Ulster have lost just once in any competition since early December: 13-18 at Munster in the United Rugby Championship on 8 January.
  • The Ulstermen have a perfect played eight, won eight record (all with maximum points) in the United Rugby Championship at Kingspan Stadium this season.
  • Ulster have won just two of their last nine clashes with fellow Irish provinces, but both of those victories have been in the space of their last three such games.
  • Leinster have won their last four United Rugby Championship matches since their 27-29 defeat at Cardiff on 29 January.
  • Leinster have lost only two of their last nine fixtures against fellow Irish provinces, both at home, to Munster in the Rainbow Cup in April and Ulster in the United Rugby Championship in November.
  • Ulster beat Leinster 20-10 at the RDS in Round 6 and have not achieved a United Rugby Championship double over their rivals since season 2012/13.
  • Leinster have won on two of their last three visits to Kingspan Stadium.

COVID-19 - Reduce the risk

First and foremost, please do not travel to Kingspan Stadium if you are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

In line with the latest NI Executive guidance, it is strongly recommended that supporters wear face coverings when indoors. Please also make use of the hand sanitisation stations located throughout the stadium and be distance-aware and respectful of others.

Public Transport

Early free shuttle buses will be running from Pirrie Park from 4.00pm for supporters going to the stadium to watch the England v Ireland game.

The regular free Park & Ride bus will operate continually from 5.35pm from Pirrie Park (alight at Onslow Parade) and Montgomery Road (alight at Mount Merrion Avenue). These will return from the same locations after final whistle.

Translink will be operating Rugby Special buses, traveling to and from the Europa Buscentre. For more information, visit translink.co.uk/ulsterrugby.

Entering & Exiting the Stadium

Turnstiles will be open from 4.00pm. To ensure the free flow of supporters, please note the following entry and exit points:

β€’ Mount Merrion Ave Turnstiles: Supporters with tickets in Premium, East Terrace, Memorial Stand and Memorial Terrace.

β€’ Onslow Parade Turnstiles: Supporters with tickets in Grandstand, The Promenade (West Terrace), AbbeyAutoline Family Stand and Family Terrace.

What's on at Kingspan Stadium

Fan Zone

  • The Kingspan Stadium Fan Zone will be up and running from gates open at 4.00pm.
  • The Cool FM Crew will provide the pre-match soundtrack as supporters warm up for the game.
  • Face painters will be set up at the Admin Building from 5.00-7.30pm - make sure and show your colours!
  • Heineken will be giving away samples of alcohol-free Heineken 0.0, so keep an eye out for their promo team.
  • The Kukri Store will be open from gates open until 30 minutes post-match.
  • The Food Village, Kukri Store and public bars all accept contactless or cashless payments.

Stadium Bars

  • All five public bars will be in operation from gates open.
  • There will be live entertainment in the Clubhouse Bar both pre and post-match.
  • Drinks can be consumed inside the public bars, within the Fan Zone or in your seats / terrace.

Half-Time

  • At half-time, Sparky and Abbey will be throwing signed rugby balls into the AbbeyAutoline Family Stand, so get ready to catch and see which player has signed yours!
  • Also at half-time, the rugby players from Donaghadee Seaside Sharkies, Ballymena Bears and Portadown Panthers - local tag rugby clubs for players with learning disabilities - will take part in exhibition games on the pitch.
