Mini Mornings, supported by Maxol, is a brand-new programme introduced by Ulster Rugby to support the development of mini rugby within our club game, as part of the #URgame initiative.
This programme gives clubs the opportunity to invite a member of Ulster Rugby Development staff to their club to work with a selection of mini club coaches. They will deliver a coaching session to introduce small-sided games and suitable practices to develop players in a fun and enjoyable environment.
This initiative was previously launched in September and attracted a high level of interest. Dromore P4 players and coaches were visited by Ulster Rugby Participation Officer, Jason Gribbon and Mini Convenor, Rob Masters fed back that: “The coaches found it really useful. It has helped boost their confidence going forward. The kids also got a different experience and inspiration. They really enjoyed the style of the session and Jason’s enthusiasm and enjoyment.”
Club visits will be organised on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is advised. Those clubs that registered their interest prior to the COVID-19 lockdown need not apply again and will be contacted by Ulster Rugby Development Staff to re-arrange a mutually suitable date.
To register interest for one of these sessions, please email: minis@ulsterrugby.com.
