New Match Day Travel Options with Translink

Ulster Rugby is delighted to continue their relationship with Northern Ireland’s public transport company Translink, providing existing and new services to Kingspan Stadium on match days.

Two new services will be trialled for upcoming fixtures, with the ambition to continue for the full season, subject to demand.

The two new pick-up locations for the Ulster Rugby Special buses will be from:

·       Sprucefield Park & Ride with a further pick up at Lisburn Bus Station

·       Newtownards Bus Station with a further pick up at Dundonald Park & Ride

All departure times are listed on the Translink website and tickets must be booked in advance. Both services will drop off at and depart from the stadium gates.

Kingspan Stadium is located within a residential area with road closures effecting the neighbouring streets. Spectators should plan their travel in advance to ensure they don’t miss a moment of the action on the pitch. By arriving early fans can avoid the queues in the bars and food village, pick up a free flag and soak up the atmosphere.

Europa Special

The popular Ulster Rugby Special service will continue to depart from the Europa Bus Centre (located in the city centre). Due to demand, this service can now be booked online at translink.co.uk/special-events/ulsterrugbybusspecial.

The Europa Bus Centre service departs 90 minutes before kick-off and returns directly to the Europa Bus Centre 30 minutes after the final whistle.

Park & Ride Shuttle Services

Ulster Rugby continue to provide two free of charge Park & Ride services on match days, operated by Translink. The Montgomery Road service will now commence at Tesco, Castlereagh Road, affording more opportunities for off-site parking.

·       Pirrie Park on the Ravenhill Road side of the stadium (Methody Playing fields car park)

·       Tesco Castlereagh Road / Montgomery Road on the Mount Merrion side of the stadium (opposite Podium for Sport)

There are plenty of car parking spaces available and free buses run continually along these routes from 90 minutes prior to the game until 90 minutes after the final whistle.

Park & Stride

Last season Ulster Rugby introduced a new match day parking facility at Belfast Metropolitan College, Castlereagh Campus, which will continue to operate for the 2023/24 season.

The college on Montgomery Road is conveniently situated within half a mile of the stadium entrance at Mount Merrion Avenue and can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. This facility offers up to 300 spaces for match day cars to park in a safe environment with staff on duty within the site. Each car will be charged £5 on arrival by contactless payment or by booking in advance at universe.com/events/car-parking-belfast-metropolitan-college-tickets-17X4YS.

Additional parking at Aquinas Grammar School and St Joseph’s College is sold out for the 2023/24 season.
