In todays's match programme, Nick Timoney provides an insight into pre-season camp, his new contract and doing everything he can to move forward this season...
NICK TIMONEY ARTICLE PREVIEW
“It’s nice to be fully in the thick of things when you are among the senior players full-time, a lot is expected of you, so that’s motivation in itself. I’m putting more pressure on myself to focus and work even harder. The Academy was great and there was lots of integration but just to have that full-time contract is good and I’m really enjoying myself.”
In terms of this season, Timoney has his sights set on moving forward…
“I would like to have a better season than I did last season. I would like to improve as much as I can and be more valuable to the team than I was last season. I think if you’re not moving forward you are essentially moving backwards, so hopefully I can improve and collectively we have a great season.”
