No rest for USRFR referees this weekend

Whilst this may be a quiet weekend in terms of the All Ireland League, there is still plenty of top class rugby to enjoy both on TV and in the rugby clubs of Ulster. Simon McDowell is our highest profile appointment this weekend as he is TMO for the Italy v Australia game on Saturday. Grainne Crabtree (pictured above) is also on International duty as 4th official in the Ireland v USA Women’s International match at Energia Park on Sunday. Friday night sees the playing of the Dudley Cup fixture as Queens University take on UCD.  Referee for this game is Dan Carson and the touch judges are Lee Evans and Robbie McGreer. Closer to home we have a busy domestic league programme. Selected refereeing appointments are as follows: Kukri Championship Division 1 CIYMS v Portadown  Alan Clarke Carrickfergus v Dromore  Garrett Davey Grosvenor v Enniskillen  IPAS Instonians v Coleraine  Chris Boyd Kukri Championship / Conference Division 1 Ballyclare v Armagh 2  Joel Stafford-Barton Ballynahinch 2 v Cooke  Peter Doherty Provincial Division 1 Ballynahinch 3 v Ballynahinch 4  Graham Gibson (Thursday night) Dungannon 2 v Portadown 2  Mark Millar Queens 2 v Bangor 2  Tim McLennan We also wish two of our own IPAS referees, Robbie McGreer and Andrew Mitchell well as they officiate at games in Connacht and Munster respectively.
