The nominees for the 2020 Irish Rugby Players Awards have been announced, with Ulster's John Cooney up for two accolades.
Cooney is named among the nominees for the much sought-after Players’ Player of the Year Award and is joined on the shortlist by Leinster Rugby's James Lowe and Garry Ringrose, as well as Munster's Andrew Conway.
He made some vital contributions for Ulster Rugby as they made their way to the latter stages of the Guinness PRO14 and Heineken Champions Cup in the 2019-20 season.
Cooney will also contest the Try of the Year award with his individual brilliance at home to Clermont in the Heineken Champions Cup.
