Nominees for Zurich Irish Rugby Players Awards Announced

The nominees for the 2019 Zurich Irish Rugby Players Awards have been announced, with three Ulster players up for accolades. Ulster and Ireland winger Jacob Stockdale has been nominated for the Nevin Spence Young Player of the Year award, while his fine individual effort against New Zealand in November has been shortlisted for the Try of the Year award. Darren Cave, who will retire from professional rugby at the end of the season, is in contention to win the Medal for Excellence, which is awarded to the individual who has shown exceptional commitment to the game of rugby both on and off the field. Will Addison has been nominated for Supporters’ Player of the Year. The Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday 15th May at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin.
