After 18 years of playing the role of Ulster Rugby's energetic and lovable mascot Sparky, Norman Pollock has decided to hang up his boots. Â
Norman has dedicated hundreds, if not thousands, of hours and endless energy pacing the length of the pitch, getting fans singing, chanting and shouting at the top of their lungs for the Ulstermen. Norman’s unique ability to create such a fun and enjoyable environment for all the family lays down a big challenge to the successor who will take on the role of Sparky.
Tomorrow’s fixture against Glasgow Warriors will be the last night in which Norman dons the famous costume and works to entertain and delight the crowd here at Kingspan Stadium.
Along with fellow Ulster legends Tommy Bowe and Paul Marshall who are also bowing out this year, Norman will be equally missed by fans and staff alike. Ulster Rugby would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Norman for bringing Sparky to life and contributing to the fantastic atmosphere which makes match nights at Kingspan Stadium so special.

If you would like to be there in the crowd issuing your farewells to Sparky, Bowe or Marshall as Ulster take on Glasgow Warriors, there are limited tickets remaining. To find out more visit www.ulsterrugby.com/buytickets
