Ulster Rugby is currently inviting applications for the post of
Community Sports Development Officer.
This project has been supported by the EU’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Reporting to the Rugby Operations Manager, the job holder will deliver the Peace IV Building Positive Relations - “Sport Uniting Communities” Programme involving the multi-sport Partnership of the Irish FA, Ulster GAA and Ulster Rugby, with very clear programme results and outputs.
The successful candidate will have 2 years’ full-time equivalent work experience in at least two of the following disciplines:
- Sports development
- Community outreach
- Community relations
- Club development
- Social inclusion
- Education
- Strategic development
Or have a 3rd level qualification coupled with a minimum of 1 years’ full-time equivalent work experience in at least two of the above areas. They should have experience working with volunteers, developing annual work programmes and working across a multi-disciplinary team.
They should have access to a form of transport that will permit the jobholder to meet the requirements of the post in full and have the ability to work unsociable hours, including evenings & weekends. Good written and oral presentation skills coupled with the ability to work to deadlines is key.
The post is being offered on a fixed term contract from date of commencement until 28th February 2022).
