Now hiring: Elite Player Development Officer (EPDO) - Backs Specialist

The IRFU and Ulster Rugby are currently inviting applications for the post of Elite Player Development Officer, Backs Specialist. The post holder will primarily be responsible for the development and identification of players for the professional game in Ulster & Ireland with specific focus on Academy, NTS & PTS players. The successful candidate will have a IRFU Stage 4 coaching qualification (or equivalent) attended, or working towards this as of the closing date. They will have experience of delivering collective/reduced coaching sessions at Stages 3, 4 and 5 of the LTPD pathway coupled with 2 years playing, managing or coaching at an elite level or a minimum of 1 years’ experience delivering collective/reduced coaching sessions at Stages 3, 4 and 5 of the LTPD pathway. You must have excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills and have the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, players and schools’ staff. Flexibility is key as you will be required to work frequent irregular and unsocial hours. The successful candidate must be eligible to live and work in the UK and failure to provide evidence of this will result in your application being unsuccessful.
