Omagh RFC female section held an open night for youth players this week and Manager Leanne Monteith was delighted to see 16 girls attend the first session of the season.
The girls were put through some fun activities and games by Omagh and Fermanagh Council Active Communities Coach Clive Porter, with assistance from Ulster Rugby Community Rugby Officer Darren McGuigan.
The club is positive that numbers will continue to grow with Clive Porter and fellow Active Communities Coach Stewart McCain delivering rugby to female classes in local schools.
Youth training will continue to run alongside the senior women’s sessions at Omagh RFC every Wednesday evening from 7-8.30pm. No prior experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
