Ulster Rugby is delighted to announce that local healthcare provider, Orthoderm has donated a state of the art medical buggy for use during all professional and domestic games held at Kingspan Stadium this year.
Based in Hillsborough, Orthoderm provides high quality complete medical and surgical care for the community delivered by knowledgeable, caring, committed local doctors, physiotherapists and nurses.
“Ulster Rugby has a world class medical team,” explains Director Michael Eames. “And we at Orthoderm are proud to donate a new medical buggy to enable safe and prompt treatment of any injured player. We hope the Orthoderm buggy will complement the world class facilities at Kingspan Stadium and help to ensure efficient treatment of injuries sustained on the field of play.”
Ulster Rugby’s Medical Director, Dr Michael Webb is delighted that Orthoderm has decided to become a partner:
“We at Ulster Rugby have recently completed the very exciting development of Kingspan Stadium and as part of this development we now have state of the art, on-site medical facilities that further enable us to provide both our own and also visiting players with the best possible medical care. We are hugely grateful to Orthoderm, a local and highly regarded healthcare provider who has donated a medical evacuation buggy for use during matches.
“In the case of potentially serious injuries, the buggy allows us to safely remove players from the field of play so that further injury assessment and management can be undertaken as quickly as possible. At Ulster Rugby, player welfare is hugely important to us, and this buggy is now a vital link in our injury management process.”
