This past weekend Ulster Rugby Development Officer, Jonathon Graham supported a parent-led project working with a group of pupils from Grosvenor Grammar School. After a tough season of school rugby, parents of pupils from Grosvenor Grammar felt the team needed a lift to finish the season on a positive note. A group of parents organised a number of coaching sessions, inviting various guest coaches including players from Ballynahinch RFC, Age Grade Ulster Representative coaches and staff from Ulster Rugby.
Commenting on the event, Jonathon Graham said, “It was great to see the parents of our school players take the lead in supporting them after a tough season. The importance of 'parent power' and volunteerism should never be underestimated as it drives our sport in both schools and clubs."
Thanks to all the parents and pupils involved as well as Grosvenor Grammar School. Have a great summer!
