Ulster Rugby is delighted to team up with Belfast Metropolitan College, Castlereagh Campus to offer match day parking for upcoming fixtures.
The college on Montgomery Road is perfectly situated within half a mile of the stadium entrance at Mount Merrion Avenue and can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. This new partnership sees the opening of up to 300 spaces for cars and it is hoped that this will reduce the pressure around the residential streets at Kingspan Stadium on match nights.
Match night parking will be safe and secure with staff on duty within the site. Each car will be charged £5 on arrival by contactless payment. No pre-booking is required.
For the first three URC fixtures at Kingspan Stadium (Sat 17 Sep v Connacht, Fri 30 Sep v Leinster, Sat 8 Oct v Ospreys) , the car park will be open from 6.00-11.30pm.
Ulster Rugby continue to work with the local community, neighbourhood PSNI, Belfast City Council and DFI to review and develop their match night traffic management plans. This addition to the current provisions is seen a positive step to easing vehicle congestion on match nights. The traffic management plans currently include free customer car parking at Pirrie Park, free Park & Ride services from Pirrie Park & Montgomery Road, paid for annual parking in adjacent schools, Aquinas Grammar and St Joseph’s College. Translink also provide a number of public transport services to the stadium including a Rugby Special bus: www.translink.co.uk/ulsterrugby.
We would like to remind all spectators and visitors to Kingspan Stadium that the areas of Cregagh Estate and Onslow/Ravenhill are subject to road closure orders and are monitored continually on match days. Penalties for road closure infringements are in operation.
