Kingspan Stadium will host the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship finals day this Saturday (August 31).
The third round of the 2024 Championship took place last weekend and saw Munster and Leinster claim the top two places, seeing out the round robin phase with wins over Connacht and Ulster respectively.
Table toppers Munster overcame Connacht 29-24 at Dexcom Stadium, with Alana McInerney’s second half try – her sixth of the tournament – getting them over the finish line despite a cracking comeback from the hosts.
Saturday’s second game was in Belfast where defending champions Leinster secured second spot thanks to a 39-14 victory over Ulster.
The 3rd-4th place play-off between Connacht and Ulster will take place at Kingspan Stadium at 2pm this Saturday, before the Championship final kicks off at 4.15pm.
Tickets for the double header are available to buy here, while there will be live coverage of both matches on TG4, and also the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website.
The opposition
Round 2 saw a tight encounter between Murray Houston's side and the Westerners, with a late Ulster comeback helping secure a thrilling 25-25 draw at Kingspan Stadium.
After defeat against the regining champions, Leinster, last weekend in Belfast, the team will be aiming to end their campaign on a positive note with a victory this Saturday.
Connacht, like Ulster, will be hoping to end the championship with their first win this summer.
Coach's view - Murray Houston
"Getting to play at home against Connacht is an opportunity to go out and put in a really good performance but ultimately get that victory we’re looking for as well.
Connacht have been very good throughout the competition, we have to be wary of how they played in the first half up here so it’s about getting that consistency."
