Players in the Community - Oct 2018

The players of Ulster Rugby were on hand to support a number of club, schools and community initiatives throughout the Province over the past number of weeks. Here is a snapshot of some of the activity…
Tuesday 2nd October – Meet the new Players
Billy Burns, Jordi Murphy, Marty Moore, Henry Speight and Will Addison all attended a meet and greet event with the Ulster Rugby Supporters Club.
Thursday 4th October - Wallace High new wing Opening
Ulster player Chris Henry, who is also the first Honorary President of the Wallace High School Past Pupils’ Association, attended the official opening of the new wing at his old school.
Saturday 6th October – Mini Rugby Blitz
Rob Lyttle attended the annual mini rugby blitz at Larne RFC. Image removed.
6th / 12th / 19th October – Mini Rugby Festivals
Louis Ludik, Kyle McCall, Henry Speight, Darren Cave and David Busby popped along to the Maxol mini rugby festivals at Holywood RFC, Coleraine RFC and Malone RFC. Image removed. Image removed. Image removed.
Wednesday 10th October - Mental Health Video
Ulster captain Rory Best, along with fellow Irish international Jacob Stockdale, took part in a promotional video to help break stigmas around mental health.
Friday 19th October - Dunclug College visit
Abbey Insurance Ulster Academy player Azur Allison went along to Dunclug College in Ballymena where he held a Q&A session with some of the pupils. Image removed.
Tuesday 23rd October - Children’s Cancer Unit Visit
John Cooney, Johnny McPhillips, Kyle McCall & Matty Rea took some time to visit the Children’s Cancer Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Tuesday 23rd October – Lineout Workshop
Ulster hooker John Andrew travelled to Newry RFC to help out the club’s forwards with a lineout workshop. Image removed.
Wednesday 24th October – School Rugby Session
Stuart McCloskey and David Shanahan visited Regent House School where they helped out with a rugby session and passed on some advice to the young players. Image removed.
Friday 26th October - Supporter Visit
Louis Ludik paid 12-year-old supporter Jonah a visit, to lift his spirits after he suffered a broken leg.
Wednesday 31st October - Halloween Camps
A number of Ulster players were on hand to attend the five Subway Ulster Rugby Halloween Camps that took place across the Province.
