Plenty of action for USRFR referees again this weekend

With the Guinness Six Nations taking another break this week, the Guinness Pro14 is the centre of attraction. USRFR match officials are involved in three of the games: Colin Stanley continues his TMO duties at the Leinster v Toyota Cheetahs game at the RDS on Friday night. Jonny Erskine and Mark Patton act as Assistant Referee 2 in the Zebre v Glasgow and Cardiff Blues v Southern Kings matches respectively. Both games are on Saturday. There is a full programme of All Ireland League fixtures and with only five rounds left, the action is hotting up. As you can see, many of our referees often double up at the weekend. Sometimes they referee a game in the morning and then touch judge in the afternoon. Others perhaps referee a match on a Saturday and another on Sunday. Without this commitment, the game of rugby union simply wouldn’t survive in Ulster.
