Plenty of rugby action this weekend

After an exciting final round of matches in Kukri Championship Division 1 last weekend, the attention turns to Division 2 this week with some really important matches. So many of the leagues this season are going down to the final day so it just shows the importance of results from day one right through to the final day of the season. Credit must go to our match officials who oversee these games in often high pressure environments.  Domestic refereeing appointments this weekend are as follows: Friday Ulster Women’s Championship / Conference Division 2 Lisburn v North Down:  Tim McLennan Queens University v Cooke 2:  Eamonn Whelan Provincial League Division 1 Dungannon 2 v Ballyclare 2:  Shane Toolan Game on Regional South City of Armagh 4 v Dromore 3:  Nathan Lamont Saturday AIL Round Robin Clonmel v Connemara:  Chris Lough Premiership 2nd XV League Ballynahinch 2 v Omagh 2:  Alan Clarke City of Armagh 2 v Malone 2:  Mark Millar Women’s Championship Division 1 Ballynahinch v Omagh:  Alan Ward City of Derry v Cavan:  Colin McCandless Women’s Championship Division 2 Randalstown v Dungannon:  Chris Gregg Malone 2 v Belfast Harlequins:  Stephen Monaghan Kukri Ulster Championship Division 2 Ballymoney v Academy:  Richard Sweeney Clogher Valley v Limavady:  Jonny Erskine Lisburn v Larne:  Vincent Hughes Lurgan v Randalstown:  Paul Baxter UUC v Ards:  Graham Gibson Kukri Ulster Championship Division 3 Cavan v Virginia:  Clive Gardiner Civil Service v BHSFP:  Scott McDowell Donaghadee v Strabane:  Norman Gamble Holywood v Newry:  Steven Robb Ophir v Letterkenny:  John Adams PSNI v Monaghan:  Trevor Bradfield Provincial League Division 1 Rainey OB 2 v Grosvenor 2:  Ref:  Roger Cleave TJ’s  Lyndsay Davidson & TBC Provincial League Division 2 Instonians 2 v City of Armagh 3:  Adrian Pawlik Provincial League Division 3 Ballymena 3 v CIYMS 2:  Mark Patton Ballynahinch 5 v City of Derry 2:  Eamonn McCotter Belfast Harlequins 3 v Randalstown 2:  Ted Edwards Provincial League Division 4 Cooke 2 v Ards 2:  Michael Pollock Donegal v Lisburn 2:  Mat Stone Provincial League Division 5 Academy 2 v Ballynahinch 6:  Gerry Saunders Ballyclare 4 v UUC 2:  Billy Allen Provincial League Division 6 Clogher Valley 3 v Dungannon 4:  Michael Brown Omagh 4 v Donaghadee 2:  Mark Taylor Regional Premier Ballymoney 4 v Enniskillen 3:  Paul McAlister Grosvenor 3 v BHSFP 2:  Teddy Hall Game On Regional West Cookstown v Donegal 2:  Justin Gerring Inishowen v City of Derry 3:  Jerome McAllister Game On Regional East Ballymena 4 v Holywood 2:  Steven Hayes Game On Regional South Ballynahinch 7 v Portadown 4:  Philip Ireland Game On Regional North Academy 3 v Carrickfergus 4:  Gavin Walker Coleraine 3 v Ballymena 5:  Andrew Pyper Ulster Carpets U18 Cup/Plate City of Armagh v City of Derry:  Garrett Davey (pictured above) Randalstown v Enniskillen:  Jarvis Traynor Ulster Carpets U18 Bowl/Shield Carrickfergus v Ballyclare:  Chris Busby Ulster Carpets U16 Cup/Plate Virginia v Newry:  Peter O’Hanlon City of Derry v Portadown:  Tony Breen Donaghadee v Ballyclare:  Peter Gamble Omagh v Ballynahinch:  Billy O’Gorman Ulster Carpets U14 Cup/Plate Ballymena v Letterkenny:  Peter McCluggage Ballynahinch v Rainey OB:  Gary McKelvey City of Derry v Banbridge:  Carl Quinn Lurgan v Bangor:  Judith McDevitt Monaghan v Omagh:  Jonathan Murdock Newry v Carrickfergus:  Michael Cairnduff Midweek Fixtures Tuesday 2nd April Provincial League Division 4 Ards 2 v Queens University 3:  Terry Cooke Wednesday 3rd April Kukri Championship Division 2 Ards v Randalstown:  Chris Elliott Thursday 4th April Game On Regional West Strabane 2 v Cookstown:  Aubrey Kerrigan U14 High Schools Plate Clounagh JHS v Bangor Academy:  Michael Pollock (at Belfast Harlequins) We also wish Dan Carson well tonight as he referees France U18 v Italy U18 in an International match at Marcoussis.  This follows Chris Busby refereeing Wales U19 v Japan U19 in Cardiff on Wednesday night.
