Portadown College and Lurgan College Senior Rugby Squads have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season.
Portadown College Senior Rugby Squad have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season over the last few weeks, and Coaches Andrew Symington and Stephen McDowell have called upon Ulster Rugby's Fitness Development Coach Paul Heasley to assist them in physically preparing the team for the upcoming games. Paul will be offering support throughout the season to the coaching staff on all aspects of strength and conditioning at all age levels at the school. Lurgan College Senior squad have also been back in school early preparing for the upcoming Rugby season, and coaches Geoff Caldwell and Neil Ross have additional support this school year in the form of Paul Heasley, the South West Regions Fitness Development Coach for Ulster Rugby.
Paul has been taking pitch based conditioning sessions with the senior squad, and will be offering assistance on all aspects of strength and conditioning of the players to the coaching staff at both senior and medallion level throughout the school term, with the aim of improving both the performance of the players and the awareness of the coaches in relation to their physical development.
