Campaign so far
After the perfect start of two bonus point wins in the opening two rounds over Connacht (home) and Scarlets (away), Ulster slipped their first defeat of the season at home to Leinster last weekend. At a rain-sodden Kingspan Stadium, it was Leinster who were a little bit more clinical and held out for a 13-20 win. That result bumped Ulster down from first to third in the URC standings on 11 points, three behind Leinster and the Bulls.
Ospreys have had a thrilling start to the season. In Round 1, a last gasp converted try saw them clinch a draw against Scarlets in the West Wales derby at Parc y Scarlets. In Round 2, the Emirates Lions visited Swansea and recorded a narrow 27-28 victory. Last weekend a brace of tries from Keelan Giles helped Ospreys recorded their first league win, defeating Glasgow Warriors 32-17 at the Swansea.com Stadium. Ospreys currently occupy eighth spot in the URC standings.
Players to Watch
Winger Keelan Giles is clearly a man on form, touching down for two tries in a Player of the Match performance over Glasgow last week.
The Ospreys also have a host of Wales internationals among their squad, in addition to British & Irish Lions test-capped Alun Wyn Jones, Rhys Webb, Dan Lydiate, Adam Beard, Justin Tipuric and George North.
Last Time Out
Ulster haven't hosted Ospreys at Kingspan Stadium since February 2021, and that game was played behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
On that occasion, Ulster put in a strong second half performance to record a 21-7 victory.
