They were due to play Londonderry YMCA at home last Saturday but no referee turned up so they played a friendly. Cavan lost 34-5 at home to Monaghan in the Gordon West Cup and 12-0 to Civil Service in their opening league game. In the local derby league game at Virginia - Cavan lost 32-21.
